Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account (email address, display name) and data generated through your use of the service (campaigns, characters, AI generation history). Where enabled, we may also collect anonymised, aggregated usage data such as page views and feature usage to improve the product. We never sell your data.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide and improve the Axiom Realms service. Campaign content you create is private to your campaign members by default. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by AI within Axiom Realms is created using your campaign context (setting, NPCs, safety settings). This context is sent to our AI providers (Azure AI Foundry) to generate content. We do not use your campaign data to train AI models.

When you use NPC voice features, the NPC's dialogue text is sent to ElevenLabs for speech synthesis so it can be read aloud in your session. Only the dialogue text needed to generate the audio is sent; ElevenLabs does not receive your account details or other campaign data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). All connections are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security policies ensure users can only access data they are authorised to see.

5. Your Rights

You can export or delete your data at any time through your account settings. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use only strictly necessary cookies. When you sign in, Supabase (our authentication provider) sets session cookies (names beginning with sb-) that keep you logged in; they are refreshed automatically and removed when your session ends. We also use your browser's local storage for functional preferences you set in the app, such as dice roll settings, panel positions, and reduced motion. These are never used to track you and never leave your device.

We do not set any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Payments are handled on Stripe's own hosted pages, where Stripe's privacy policy applies.

With your consent, we use PostHog to collect product analytics (page views, feature usage, session recordings of your in-app activity, and error diagnostics) so we can see which parts of Axiom Realms help you run better games and fix problems when they happen. These analytics cookies load only after you choose Accept on our cookie banner, and the data is processed on EU servers. If you choose Reject, nothing loads and no analytics cookies are set. Separately from cookies, our servers record a small amount of product telemetry for reliability — for example whether a world build succeeded or failed and how many items it created — tied to your account identifier but never containing your campaign content, regardless of your cookie choice. You can change your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer or on your profile page. Once you accept, analytics events are linked to your account email (so we can match issues to your account for support) but never to your campaign content. Session recordings mask all input field values by default, so anything you type is never captured in a replay.
